We host a regular programme of yoga workshops and events from our Sheffield based studio in Kelham Island.

These yoga workshops are for students and teachers who are dedicated to improving their technique and expanding their education. Each session builds on the previous one, so at the end of the weekend, you will have worked and learned about every part of the body, including your mind. If you really want to deepen your understanding of your body and your self, come for the whole weekend.

Stephen has achieved the highest possible certificate from Yoga Alliance, E-RYT 500, and is also one of a handful of students Certified in YOGAMAZÉ, Noah Mazé’s elite yoga school. Friday 27th – 13:00 – 16:30 The Language of Teaching (for yoga teachers)
This 3.5-hour Teachers Tune-up will focus on refining your use of language in class to help students listen more, learn more, and feel more.
Friday 27th evening – 18:30 – 20:30 Sit Down & Open Up (suitable for all)
Time to get chill. In this 2-hour meditation workshop we’ll work on seated forward folds and hip openers before settling in to talk about meditation techniques. Finally, we’ll wrap up with a session of reflection and meditation.
Saturday 28th Morning – 9:30 – 12:30 The Mixture of Myth & Asana (Story Time AND Play Time) (suitable for students practicing arm balances)
Asta Vakra (the sage who was crooked in eight places) is a Hindu mythological character who has loaned his name to the arm balance Asta Vakrasana. In this 3-hour workshop Stephen will weave Asta Vakra’s story into a sequence breaking down and piecing together this playful arm balance.
Saturday 28th Afternoon – 14:30 – 17:30 Form & Flow+ Adventure Yoga Alignment-Infused Vinyasa Workshop (suitable for students who regularly practice vinyasa)
During the first part of this workshop we’ll get into our flow, build heat, and move together. Then we will slow it down and examine the most challenging aspects of vinyasa classes in a Hatha style, before we put it all together into a short vinyasa sequence.
Sunday 29th Morning – 9:30 – 12:30 Adventure Yoga Alignment-Infused Workshop (suitable for students practicing yoga at least one year)
In this 3-hour Hatha workshop, Stephen will, in his accessible and applicable way, teach you anatomy that will help you refine your alignment and tap into your own strength and courage. In this workshop you’ll get a chance to work on Eka Pada Rajakapotasana (Pigeon), a multi-faceted pose that includes hip opening, hip flexion, hip extension, shoulder opening, and back bending.
Sunday 29th Afternoon – 14:30 – 17:00 Adventure Yoga Strong Hatha (for advanced practitioners)
A 2.5-hour workshop where anything and everything is on the table. Come prepared to work hard and play hard. Stephen will offer advanced poses and sequencing to help you playfully expand and open your practice to new possibilities. Expect asanas (poses) that we don’t normally get a chance to play with in a public class.
All hours with Stephen count towards Continuing Education hours with Yoga Alliance North America.
